Early Childhood Education According to Ki Hadjar Dewantara - Suwardi Suryaningrat original name was born on May 2, 1889. Ki Hadjar regard as a natural child who has the innate nature of each as well as the freedom to do as well as the set itself. Father of National Education
Children have a right to determine what is good for him, so that the child should be given the opportunity to walk alone, and not constantly interfered or forced. Tutors should only provide assistance when children face barriers are quite heavy and can not be resolved.

It is a reflection of the motto "tut wuri Handayani". Ki Hadjar also of the view that teaching should provide knowledge that is beneficial both physically and spiritually, and can liberate themselves. That freedom should be applied to the child's way of thinking is that children do not necessarily ordered or fed with the thoughts of others alone but they should be taught to seek and find their own various grades of knowledge and skills by using the mind and its own merits.

The above description shows that Ki Hadjar looked at children as individuals who have the potential to grow, thus giving ample opportunity for children to seek and find knowledge, indirectly will provide opportunities so that the potential of the child can develop optimally.

Ki Hadjar Dewantara explained that the child was born with a nature or upbringing respectively. Natural strength that exist in these children is nothing but all the strength in the inner life and the birth of children that exist because of the nature of power (because of the nature or descent who are destined ajali). The nature of the child is both good and vice versa. Nature that will provide the basis for the growth and development of children.

With an understanding as above, Ki Hajar Dewantara considers that education leads bertumbuhkembangnya it is only natural that the powers-owned subsidiary. Education does not alter the basic nature of children, except to give guidance so that the innate natures child was flourishing into a better direction.

Education serves children are innately not lead either to be more qualified again on the side to prevent it from all sorts of evil influences. Thus, the purpose of education is to guide all natures that exist in the child so that he as a member of the public can reach salvation and kebahagiaaan highest in his life.
